Veganism
I encourage everyone to join me in the endeavor of reducing animal killing and suffering, lowering our carbon, land and water footprints, and eating a more healthy diet all at the same time! If you eat a lot of meat and dairy, I would encourage you to first try to reduce your meat and dairy consumption. Choose some meals or days of the week to go meat and dairy free. I would also suggest that you do your own research on what you're interested in, whether it be animal rights, environmental impact, or health benefits. You may be surprised at what you learn! Did you know that it takes ~660 gallons of water to produce a hamburger? Did you know that per calorie, bok choy has 4 times more calcium than cow's milk? Did you know that most plastic in the Pacific garbage patch is from the fishing industry?
